“ I've always been a fan of Santo's films… I think I can do something with these wrestlers, and maybe even a role specifically for Johnny Depp,” Burton said, still excited to see the wrestling gladiators.
Tim Burton is ready for a crossover between the Headless Horseman and the SaintAccording to the creator of The Nightmare Before Christmas , the crossover the world needs is precisely one where the Horseman faces off against The Saint and Blue Demon.
The plot would take place in a gloomy and haunted town (possibly Torreón), where El Santo must face the Headless Horseman, who has begun kidnapping technical wrestlers to turn them into rudos, just when it was believed that he had been defeated by Ichabod Crane, who could well be played this time by Yordi Rosado or "The Canadian Vampire."
The film is expected to premiere just in time for the Day of the Dead in 2026, taking advantage of cross-promotion with bread of the dead, zombie wrestlers, and INE commercials promoting citizen voting.
"Next time I want to film in Tepito. I'm sure there are at least three cinematic universes waiting to be born there," the great Tim concluded, moments before bidding farewell to our country.
